Miele's multi-stage filtration systems capture even the smallest particles to help prevent damage to the pumps, and ensure foreign materials do not circulate during cleaning cycles.
They include:

- A triple filtration system within the sump to catch particles during the wash cycle. These filters are easy to reach, and can be cleaned by the user whenever necessary
- Filters on all water inlet hoses to prevent particles from entering the washer during fill
- Filters upstream of circulation pumps to extend pump life
