It is common knowledge that soft water provides better cleaning than hard water. Soft water is also gentler on your washer. For this reason every Miele undercounter washer is equipped with a built-in water softener system. This eliminates scaling and enables your detergent to work at peak efficiency. The timing of Miele water softening system can be adjusted to compensate for the hardness of your incoming water supply. If incoming water is already soft, the system can simply be deactivated. Many brands of washers either do not offer a water softening system or provide it as an expensive option. Miele does not make this compromise.
